The Body Happy Cardio Challenge

Take a trek around Australia and boost your fitness.

Ok, well…it’s a virtual trip “down under” and based on points, not the ACTUAL perimeter distance – which is 23,800 km.

Body Happy invites you to join our March cardio challenge round the land of kangaroos, didgeridoo and Vegemite sandwiches (as the song goes), kicking off Monday 1 March.

How to take part.

  1. Join our Facebook Fitness Hub or click “going” on this event invite
  2. Take part in a Body Happy Online class or run, jog, walk, swim (perhaps a bit tricky during lockdown but sea swimming would count), row, cross-train to complete your distance.
  3. Take a snapshot to prove your distance. This could be using an app (such as MapMyRun or Strava) or an exercise machine display.
  4. Post your distance DAILY in the Fitness Hub!

There are 238 dots on our map of Australia. Each dot is worth 100 points. 1km exercise is worth 100 points (1 dot), unless you’re cycling, then it’s worth 50 points.

Raise Money

Why not raise a bit of money for our chosen charity via Just Giving. Set up a page, choose St. Barnabas House as your nominated charity and ask family for donations.

Alternatively, why not share a Facebook post about your progress and use the Facebook Donate Button to collect.
